General Information
NECDAF is a voluntary sector organisation that receives funding from the Arts Council England North East as well as other regional and local funders. The organisations remit is to develop and maintain services to artists who represent the increasing cultural diversity of North East England.
"NECDAF" is an acronym for: North East Cultural Diversity Arts Forum. At its core are organisations across the region actively engaged in delivering arts activities and support services to artists with a range of ethnic backgrounds. These organisations form the "forum" in NECDAFs title and come together to discuss opportunities, threats and aspirations facing the culturally diverse arts sector across the region.
NECDAF is a "strategic" organisation: it is concerned with developing strategy whilst supporting member organisations to deliver creative projects and programmes for artists and communities region-wide.
